just an update

hey everyone! no pictures today, but thought i would give a little update on the kitchen. the cabinets arrived yesterday and doug and i are both really pleased with how they look and are anxious to have them in the kitchen and out of the living and dining rooms. please keep us in your prayers this week b/c we've still got to get the kitchen painted before the man can install them on thursday. ordinarily that wouldn't be that big of a deal, but i have my busiest week of the semester this week and i don't know what i have, but i am sick with a headache/fever, achy feeling, sore throat, etc. just plain icky feeling.
please keep doug in your prayers too b/c he had a long weekend of working on the house and is now traveling to the east coast and back with randy coffee. all of that traveling makes me nervous sometimes when he's already tired. they are supposed to be calling on some of doug's biggest dealers so keep your fingers crossed that the dealers feel like ordering a lot of stuff! :)

debbie, mac and dee dee (sorry mb) did you all get your itinerary for hawaii? i was surprised to see that there were not as many meetings as doug and i both thought there would be. lots of free time, but how about that early breakfast dee dee? meet you there with bells on! :)
love you all!

Kim Possible and a Turtle

Annie and Emma had lots of fun at Trunk or Treat this year--as they always do. They both enjoy handing the candy out as much or more than collecting it, I think. The line to begin went all the way down Cedar Street an entire block this year. It really is a neat way for the church to reach out to the community. Kim Possible had to go without showing her belly after the pictures were over. Sorry KP.

Club Libby Lu Fun

Annie and her friends had so much fun getting makeovers at Club Libby Lu. We went for Annie's birthday. The girls got to dress up, get fun updos, painted nails, makeup, and make lip gloss. Emma didn't take part in the makeovers, but had fun watching and taking it all in. She is easily satisfied. They were all fun to watch, but that did not begin to compare with the fun they had. I think the pictures speak for themselves.

too many museums for doug

thought this was a really cute picture of doug. this was our second day of museum after museum and this is when he told me i spent too much time actually reading about the exhibits instead of just looking. :)

dc last weekend

hey guys! i thought you all might like to see a couple pictures from our trip to dc last weekend. we didn't get as many as we would have liked b/c we forgot our camera at the hotel one of the days, but we like this one with the capital in the background.

The Littlest Ballerina

Emma began ballet classes yesterday. She had a wonderful time. Her class lasts half an hour once a week. She was a little timid at first, but I just dropped her off and left. Well, I stood outside and watched in the window so that she couldn't see me. There are about 7 girls, and Emma is the littlest and youngest. She seemed even younger than all of the others though because she was a bit shy. I think this will help her to grow out of her shyness though. She "hopped like a rabbit" and put her hands "up in the sky and touched them like this." Needless to say, she loved it. She also loved showing us just what she learned afterwards at the football field.

The Adventures of Annie and Emma

Fall is such a busy time of year for us. There are all of the things that we have to do and then all of the things that we want to do. The good thing is that most of the things that we have to do bring us joy so it all works out. In these two pictures, we have taken the girls to the orchard, which is a very fun annual activity. Emma loves the popcorn, and Annie loves the cider slushes.

Hi everyone. Just wanted to share Emma's new adventure today. She started dance lessons, taking ballet. I saw her briefly after the lesson and she was obviously excited. She looked so cute. Mary Beth, maybe you can share a photo at a later date. Emma said "we went like this" and pointed her toe really big and she said "we went skippy, skippy." Definitely not a care in the world, skippy, skippy. Pretty cute. Hope everyone is doing fine. Mom and Dad hope you are doing well. We'll be in touch. Take care.

Dee Dee, Alex and Mr. Jack O. Lantern Posted by Picasa
Hi everyone. Thought this would be a great way to share thoughts and photos online. Hope you will be able to join in with photos, postings, etc. as you wish. It's Monday evening and we've had an enjoyable evening at home. Mac is working at his laptop, Dee Dee is doing homework, and I've been reading about starting an Ebay business online. We'll see but I hope to get smart enough to do that! Doug called and is traveling in Mississippi. We had a good talk. Learned about a new kind of latte to enjoy! Doug and Mandy introduced me to lattes in Birmingham. Talked to Mary Beth to check on the condition of her hurt toes ( or maybe broken). They are better. She hung them under the pantry door as she turned to walk away. Ouch! All is well in Frank Vegas. Love, Mom/Debbie
